Student Experience

Kogod puts a high premium on collaborative learning. We’ve developed our curricula to include applied learning, hands-on projects, and in-person immersions. With our online programs, we bring that same philosophy into the online classroom by creating a personalized student experience and an immersive learning community.

Live Classes

All Kogod online business classes are kept small, and each session is a seminar-style discussion that takes place in real time. Students attend by logging in via webcams, so each one is live in the online classroom. The classroom allows for break-out conversations, document sharing, and live chat between classmates and professors.

Self-Paced Coursework

American University faculty create all online coursework based on their own curricula. More than just reading assignments, coursework is created by university faculty working closely with a world-class production team. Videos, recorded lectures, and case studies bring the curricula to life as students explore business principles between live class sessions.

Real-World Experience

Practice-based learning is the foundation of Kogod's graduate programs. Our online business curricula features in-person immersive events that support collaborative
experiences for all students.
