American University's Kogod School of Business seeks candidates who strive to become global business leaders. Kogod's online programs have four start dates throughout the year: January, April, July, and October.

MBA@American and Analytics@American candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in order to apply. To complete your application, you must submit the following:
Applicants to the MBA@American and Analytics@American programs must submit a $100 nonrefundable application fee.
You will submit responses to two essay prompts. The first serves as your personal statement. It should highlight your strengths, how your background has prepared you to succeed in a graduate program, and reasons for pursuing your degree at Kogod. The second essay addresses how your prior experience, academic and/or professional, signals your readiness for graduate business study.
You must upload a current résumé in the online application.
Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation are required. MBA@American and Analytics@American applicants must submit professional or academic recommendations, and when possible, should include the recommendation of an immediate supervisor.

GRE and GMAT scores are not a requirement for application to either the MBA@American or the Analytics@American program. Though test scores are not required for these two programs, applicants may choose to submit their test scores as part of the application. If you choose to submit scores, you must submit official score reports.

International applicants must submit TOEFL, IELTS or PTE scores that are no more than two years old. The TOEFL institution code for Kogod online programs is B113. Waiver of the English Language Proficiency requirement is possible in the following scenarios:
Applicants who have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in a country in which the native language is English (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland only).
Applicants who have studied abroad or completed dual or joint degree programs permitted the duration of student in the English speaking country is a minimum of 3 or more years.
Bridge to Business Course
Kogod's unique Bridge to Business course is for MBA students returning to the classroom after an extended absence or for those entering graduate business education from liberal arts backgrounds who are seeking a pre-program introduction to business. Some MBA@American applicants will be offered conditional admission. These applicants will be required to complete the Bridge to Business course and earn a grade of B or better during their first module before continuing in their course of study. The course can be taken concurrently with no more than one additional course approved by an academic advisor. Enrollment in Bridge to Business will not count toward degree requirements, but the grades earned will count toward a student's GPA. Learn more about this course.
