Professor Wendy Boland joined the Marketing Department at Kogod in the fall of 2008 after receiving her PhD in Marketing from the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on consumer decision-making, risky consumption, consumer well-being, information processing, and marketing and public policy issues, especially those dealing with child and adolescent consumers. Her work has been published in several journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Business Research, and Appetite. Boland’s teaching interests include consumer behavior, principles of marketing, marketing research, and marketing policy. In addition, she serves as the faculty director of the Behavioral Research Lab and the faculty advisor to the Graduate Marketing Club.
Prior to receiving her PhD, Boland worked as an auditor for a large public accounting firm. For the past three years, she has been serving as the associate dean of graduate programs.
