Assistant Professor

Professor Jay Simon joined the Kogod faculty in 2015. He was previously a faculty member of the Naval Postgraduate School. His research is in decision analysis. His main research focus is multi-attribute preference modeling, particularly involving outcomes which occur over time, space, or groups of people. His current work includes preferences over geographical data, altruistic utility modeling, multi-attribute procurement, and self-sustaining supply chains. He is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and the Decision Analysis Society (DAS) of INFORMS, and is an associate editor of the journal Decision Analysis.
