Allan Mink teaches Management, Information, and Systems (ITEC 616) as an adjunct professor at Kogod Graduate School of Business. Mink is the managing director for Systems Spirit, a boutique consulting team influential in connecting technology firms with the needs of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). His team analyzes trends in government needs and identifies differentiated technologies or approaches—creating winning strategies for his clients to better serve the DoD and the nation.
Mink previously served as the business growth lead for SRA International’s largest business unit, vice president of defense and intelligence for Unisys Corporation, and COO/CTO of the Systems and Software Consortium. He retired from the United States Air Force (USAF) as a colonel and decorated combat pilot. His final assignment was at Headquarters Air Force, leading the USAF’s portfolio of 13 IT initiatives for what’s now the A6/CIO. He’s past president of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA Northern Virginia) and currently holds leadership positions within AFCEA International. He hosted DISA’s Technology Exchange with industry on DoD Cloud Security. He also hosted the Silicon Valley session of the Cloud Security Alliance on DoD Cloud.
Mink is an advisory board member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, which informs, advises, and coaches technology entrepreneurs to start and grow firms with world-changing impact.
